What basic driving exercises are there:
Above you see a table with the basic driving tasks that have to be completed in each test. The officially recognized expert chooses a task from 3/4 and from 5, 6 and 7 that should be checked.
0 = always to be performed.
Evaluation of basic driving tasks.
A maximum of three basic driving tasks may be repeated once.
The practical test has not been passed. if the applicant
• does not perform a basic driving task correctly even when repeating
• monitors the traffic insufficiently and this poses a hazard
• a person, a vehicle or another object (except traffic cone) hits or falls
1. Slalom
Content of the basic driving exercise:
The applicant has to drive a slalom course (length approx. 50 m, 5 traffic cones, distance 7 m, construction see sketch to 5) at a speed of approx. 30 km/h.
Error evaluation:
• Speed too low
• omitting a field
• Knocking down a traffic cone
• Touching the road with one foot
2. Braking with the greatest possible deceleration
Content of the basic driving exercise:
Resistance must bring the motorcycle to a standstill from a control of approx. 50 km/h, with simultaneous authorization, from a control of approx. 50 km/h, without the motorcycle deviating from the driving line.
The task remains that it is certain that there is a risk to traffic after traffic; Mirror is a view of rear traffic (mirror usage and desink angle) not lost before braking.
The rear wheel will not be blocked when the motorcycle becomes stable.
Error evaluation:
• Output speed too low
• Failure to achieve the necessary deceleration
• Use only one brake lever
* Significant deviation from the driving line
• Engine stalling
3. Dodge without braking
Content of the basic driving exercise:
Accelerate to about 50 km/h, turn left by about 1 to 1.5 m in front of a marked point and return to the original driving line without braking. Evasion may start at the earliest 9 m before the marked point.
The task presupposes that it is ensured that there is no danger to the traffic following after; therefore, it is not necessary to observe the rear traffic (using the mirror and checking the blind spot) before the evasive action begins.
Error evaluation:
• Output speed too low
• Evasion is too early or insufficient
• Brakes before the line is reached again
• The original route is not nearly reached again
• Remove one or both feet from the footrests
• Knocking over the second traffic cone
4. Dodge after braking
Content of the basic driving exercise:
Accelerate to approx. 50 km/h, then brake briefly in good time and after releasing the brakes at a speed in the intrinsically stable range (approx. 30 km/h) in front of a marked point, dodge to the left by about 1 to 1.5 m and without too much brake, return to the original driving line. Evasion may start at the earliest 7 m before the marked point.
The task presupposes that it is ensured that there is no danger to subsequent traffic; therefore, it is not necessary to observe the rear traffic (using the mirror and checking the blind spot) before the evasive action begins.
Error evaluation:
• Output speed too low
• Evasion is too early or insufficient
• "Guiding" the motorcycle around the traffic cone
• Do not release the brakes when evading or braking before reaching the driving line again
• The original route is not nearly reached again
• Remove one or both feet from the footrests
• Knocking over the second traffic cone
5. Drive straight at walking speed
Content of the basic driving exercise:
The applicant has to drive a distance of approx. 25 m at walking speed while maintaining balance and with correct handling of clutch, gas and brake.
Error evaluation:
• Exceeding the walking speed
• Strong deviation from the straight line (multiple deviations from the straight line by more than 30 cm to the left or right); the first 5 m after starting are not evaluated
• Remove one or both feet from the footrest.
6. Stop and Go
Content of the basic driving exercise:
Repeated stopping and starting, coordinated actuation of the gas, clutch and brake, only take your feet off the footrests to support the motorcycle while stationary and place it on the road.
It should be shown that the inclination of the motorcycle to one side or the other is deliberate by first setting off one foot twice and then the other foot twice.
Observing the rear traffic is only necessary the first time you drive off. Gear changing is not necessary during the task.
Error evaluation:
• Starting in the wrong gear
• Engine stalling
• Do not put your feet on the footrests except for support when stopping
• Do not put your feet down as described
7. round trip
Content of the basic driving exercise:
Entering a circle with a radius of 4.5 m (marking the circle is not necessary), making multiple circles and leaving the circle. The circular drive can be requested in one or the other direction; but only left on public roads. The speed is to be selected so that there is an inclined position. The observation of the traffic behind is only necessary before entering the circle.
Error evaluation:
• Significant deviation from the specified radius
• Great deviation from the circular shape
• Remove one or both feet from the footrest
• Driving in the wrong gear
• No inclination can be determined
